The Band Toto Asia

Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an ode to the classic sextet format and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort with a harder edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard playing was as well more refined, more precise, and less derivative on previous recordings.

After touring to promote their album, the band recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between. The studio album came out just a few months later and the group embarked on an extensive world tour to promote the album.
