3 Wheel Double Buggy

Seats

The majority of 3 wheel double stroller wheel double buggies start as single pushchairs. However, some models can be converted to accommodate the second seat using adapters. Some models allow you to add an additional board for older children who are able to walk, but still require a little help.

Check out the Joie Evalite Duo for an ideal, lightweight solution for urban streets. It's easy to move and comes with a deep basket with plenty of storage space. It can hold twins from birth and accept two car seats or seats and a carrycot. The seats must face forward and there is no space for bags of groceries under the seat. Mountain Buggy Duet will be an ideal choice If you like off-road driving. It is a side by tandem with the most compact footprint of any double buggy available. This allows it to squeeze through doors that are narrow and on public transport, and allows you to climb up and down kerbs with no trouble. The UPPAbaby vista 2 double is another lightweight option that can be used by twins or a toddler and baby. The seats have a multi-position reclining with UPF 50+ sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted so that the sun doesn't reach your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can be converted into a triple by adding UPPAbaby’s "PiggyBack" board, which is designed for older children.

The iCandy Orange is one of the most popular double buggies on the market because of its exceptional comfort. It's an all-terrain model with a soft suspension that can easily handle bumpy surfaces. It comes with 30 different seating options and a built-in board for older children who prefer walking, and a "cinema' mode which raises the back seat for better visibility.

The phil&teds dots are great single buggys that can be easily adapted to take two (or three!) in various configurations. This is particularly helpful when you have a child in a car seat because the frame can be fitted with a wedgie that allows for optimal lying flat, or car seat adapters to many brands.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3 wheel jogger stroller-wheel buggy will determine how easy you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is vital since babies can feel every bump in the road, especially when it's on rough terrain like grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models have locking front tires to help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.

Some models use air-filled tyres which will give you a great all-terrain experience, but they can be prone to punctures so make sure you have a spare set in the trunk. Folding

A three-wheel double buggy can fold up pretty easily to be stored. There are models that fold flat and then stand up (as when they were in a pushchair) and also those that pop up to reveal a more umbrella-style fold, with the option of a brake operated by hand. The more wheels a buggy has, generally the more easy it will be to maneuver on rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than the typical size. You will have more stability and it will be less likely that you will need to flip or tip your child.
