Introduction
IoT smart home technology has rapidly gained popularity in urban areas around the world, hdd connector cable offering convenience, comfort, and efficiency to homeowners. In Nepal, where technology adoption is on the rise, the integration of IoT devices in households is gradually becoming a reality. This observational research aims to explore the implementation and impact of IoT smart home technology in Nepali households.

Methodology
For this study, a total of 20 households in Kathmandu were observed and interviewed regarding their use of IoT smart home devices. The participants were asked about the types of devices they use, their experiences with the technology, and the benefits and challenges they have encountered.

Findings
The findings of this research reveal that the most commonly used IoT devices in Nepali households are smart speakers, smart lighting systems, smart thermostats, and security cameras. Participants reported that these devices have made their lives more convenient and efficient by allowing them to control various aspects of their homes remotely via smartphone apps.

One of the key benefits of IoT smart home technology mentioned by participants was energy efficiency. By using smart thermostats and lighting systems, homeowners were able to regulate the temperature and lighting in their homes more effectively, resulting in lower electricity bills. Additionally, the integration of IoT devices in security systems provided homeowners with peace of mind by allowing them to monitor their homes even when they were away.

However, participants also highlighted some challenges they faced in integrating IoT smart home technology into their households. The high upfront cost of purchasing smart devices was a major concern for many participants, particularly those from lower-income households. Additionally, some participants expressed concerns about the security and privacy implications of using IoT devices, as these devices collect and transmit data that could be vulnerable to hacking.

Conclusion
Overall, this observational research provides valuable insights into the integration of IoT smart home technology in Nepal. While the adoption of IoT devices in Nepali households is still in its early stages, the benefits of convenience, efficiency, and energy savings are already being realized by homeowners. Moving forward, it will be essential for policymakers, technology companies, and consumers to address the challenges associated with IoT smart home technology, such as cost and security concerns, in order to foster greater adoption and ensure a positive impact on Nepali households.
