Albums

The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed the members of the group performed session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs album from 1975 Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned the group, and they held auditions to find a replacement frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the 1986 album Fahrenheit.
