Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin

Side-by-Side

This is the most common double pushchair. It can usually seat two children side-by-side. They tend to be wider than single pushchairs. This makes them less able to maneuver on paths. It is also difficult to maneuver between kerbs when a car seat is attached. However the extra width means that they're usually easier to navigate through doorways and are distributed more evenly making them easier on your back.

Tandem

If you're planning to have twins you will require a pushchair with car seat that is tandem. This will allow both children to sit together and interact with each other. These are great for things such as visiting the zoo as the children can look at all the animals together. They're also ideal for parents who must keep one eye on their toddler and the other on their baby because they can see both at the same time.

Some tandem pushchairs provide ultra flexibility since they can be converted back to single mode. This is especially useful when you're planning to have more than two kids (or only your oldest child doesn't need a buggy anymore). This will save you from having to store a buggy empty which can be costly.
